About us
In a busy, demanding and digitally influenced world, people have become increasingly disconnected from nature and their natural surroundings.
Our work at Twigs redresses the scales and connects people to nature. As individuals spend more time in nature, the wealth of benefits that nature can provide are harnessed. Individuals notice how time spent in nature, building a connection, can help their mental, emotional, and physical condition.
Twigs builds a community of individuals with confidence to spend time in nature, fostering a sustained, long-lasting connection. Individuals once disconnected to nature learn to turn to it for support and comfort in their everyday lives.
This connection nurtures an understanding and respect for the natural world where people are powered up to protect their natural environment, for themselves and future generations to come.

Mission
At Twigs we connect people to nature. Driven to overcome barriers, we offer inclusive, supportive spaces, giving people equitable access to nature. We help people enhance their own nature-based wellbeing, who in turn are inspired to protect and safeguard nature.

Our main aims
Our engaging outdoor experiences aim to connect people to nature, igniting a love for everyday wildlife. By delivering different workshops and activities, our goal is to improve individuals' nature-based wellbeing and condition. Using a community centred, co-creation approach, our work will break down barriers preventing nature connection, to create supportive spaces providing equitable access to nature.
We believe that everyone should experience the wonder of nature and magic of the natural world.
By creating immersive opportunities in nature and deep rooted connections to it, respect for the natural world will be established, with a community powered up to protect it.
An environmental legacy will be created through building a community of nature custodians.
Meet the Team
Jodi and Lucy are nature engagement and community professionals, with backgrounds in nature conservation. Having previously met whilst managing projects for the Wildlife Trust Federation, Jodi and Lucy are now embarking on an exciting new venture, with their own CIC, to provide immersive nature experiences and opportunities for those most disconnected from nature.

About
Lucy
A nature engagement and community professional, Lucy has many years experience managing projects, igniting imaginations, and connecting communities to nature within urban environments including Ipswich, Cambridge and Norwich.
With a passion for urban, everyday wildlife, Lucy has delivered different projects in nature-rich parks and green spaces, to nature scarce patches where concrete and amenity grass dominate.
Having worked with some of the most nature-depleted communities in different towns and cities, Lucy has a deep-rooted passion for nature and enthusiasm for working with nature disconnected communities. Lucy’s career to date has been shaped by her determination to make a genuine impact towards removing barriers stopping people accessing nature.
Believing that nature should be available to all, Lucy strives for equitable access to the wonders of the natural world and building an inclusive community where everyone can experience the magic of nature.
With a BSc (Hons) Conservation Biology degree, Lucy has a good understanding of environmental issues and drivers of biodiversity loss facing the UK which inspires much of her work. Believing whole heartedly that those connected to nature, will be those powered up to protect and safeguard nature.
Lucy loves the weird, wonderful, under-appreciated and overlooked wildlife and for her - it’s often the slimier and scalier the better. Being a water baby at heart, Lucy has always settled by the coast, as to her, that’s home. She loves taking any opportunity to get in the water, whether it’s surfing, paddleboarding or simply bobbing along, and when a large water body can’t be found, splashing in a muddy puddle brings her just as much joy.
